Tsumagoi's Geo spots

The park is shaped by volcanic sediment deposited here during the big eruption of Mt. Asama in 1783.

Kanbara Village was completely covered by the eruption of Mt. Asama in 1783 and has been called the Oriental Pompeii.

Materials of the period relating to the eruption of Mt. Asama are exhibited here.

It is a valuable regional resource designated as a special natural treasure.
